About the role
Senior Technology Architect — Business Intelligence & Data Analytics (Ottawa, ON) We're looking for a Senior Technology Architect to lead architecture design across a mixed BI/data-analytics environment (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, SQL Server, ETL platforms, and custom web applications) supporting evidence-based decision-making at the enterprise level.
What you'll do
Design technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies for enterprise BI solutions Lead and mentor a team of architects/developers through solution design and delivery Translate business analysis needs into system-level and functional requirements Evaluate emerging technologies and guide platform evolution Engage directly with senior stakeholders, present findings, and drive governance/documentation What we're looking for: 10+ years designing and implementing BI solutions to solve real business problems 5+ years leading teams of 3 or more architects/developers (the more, the better — this is a senior leadership role) Strong experience translating business needs into technical requirements Public sector experience (defence, safety, government, or financial services) is a big plus Hands-on exposure to a broad range of BI/data-discovery tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, etc.) Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or Project Management preferred Canadian citizenship required — must be eligible for Government of Canada SECRET-level security clearance
