As a Lead Auditor specializing in Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing (AMLTFA) in the Internal Audit team at National Bank, you will play a key role in the audit of processes and systems related to the PCMLTFA.

Your job
- Work closely with the PCMLTFA Chief Advisor to ensure alignment of audit processes in line with internal laws, regulations and standards
- Coordinate, plan and execute audits of processes, systems and activities related to the PCMLTFA, taking into account identified risks
- Effectively communicate audit results to internal stakeholders
- Maintain a close relationship with the Bank's other risk management sectors
- Continuously keep informed on regulatory requirements, industry practices, and audit techniques (tools, data analysis, etc.) and contribute to enhancing PCMLTFA expertise among colleagues in Internal Audit
- Carry out regular and rigorous follow-up with partners on the progress of the action plans developed following the audit work and/or regulatory authorities reports, ensuring the quality of the documentation
- Represent the internal audit team to regulatory authorities on matters related to the PCMLTFA and ensure that the bank maintains a transparent and constructive relationship with regulators
Your team
Within the Internal Audit sector, you are part of a team of 13 professional colleagues and report to the Senior Director, Internal Audit – Personal Banking, Client Experience and Compliance. Our team stands out for its complicity, enthusiasm and multidisciplinary skills. Our team independently assesses and advises on the effectiveness of the retail business's end-to-end processes, performing audit engagements on regulatory risk management and brand and customer experience governance. Our management practices promote a good work-life balance, and we adopt a flexible way of working, including hybrid work in the office and remotely.
Prerequisite
- Industry-related Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience or Master's degree in accounting, finance, law or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CFCS, CFE, etc.), essential
- Proven experience in internal or external auditing, with a solid understanding of auditing principles, professional standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in combating the PCMLTFA, with in-depth knowledge of local and international regulations (such as OSFI, FINTRAC, OFAC) and compliance practices in the banking sector
- Ability to evaluate and interpret complex information, identify problems and propose strategic solutions in line with regulatory expectations
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, data visualization tools) to support audit recommendations and enable continuous process auditing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and influence decisions
