We are experiencing significant growth across our Western Canada offices, offering new and exciting complex projects that you will have the opportunity to shape and contribute to. We are actively seeking individuals who are eager to develop their skills, take on new challenges, and advance their careers within our organization.

We are looking for a Senior Civil Industrial Designer within our Resources sector. You will work on diverse civil resource projects across the Western Canadian region, benefiting from a robust mentorship network to support your professional growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create and modify CAD drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D software

  • Prepare site grading plans, erosion & sediment management plans. Support with earthworks volume analysis, and cross section review.

  • Adhere to quality control workflows and processes to ensure consistent quality deliverables

  • Coordinate with other engineers and technologists as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Mentor team members, delegate tasks and support career growth of junior staff

  • Ensure drafting standards meet current design and Client standards, guidelines and other requirements

  • Develop practical solutions for challenges in industrial settings.

  • Complete field work, primarily in industrial settings

Qualifications

  • Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • 6+ years experience in industrial resources projects.
  • Strong understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D, SolidWorks and 3D modelling.
  • Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, including site grading, water, sanitary and storm sewer servicing, and eagerness to expand your knowledge
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys collaborating and working in a multi-disciplinary team to find the best solutions
  • Detail oriented and take pride in your deliverables
  • Eager to keep learning and work with a mentor
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
