Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Inspector role based in the Greater Halifax Metropolitan Area. The Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of fall protection systems and equipment, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include visiting client sites, performing visual and functional checks, recording inspection results, and preparing clear reports and recommendations. The role also involves communicating with clients about inspection outcomes, identifying potential safety issues, and collaborating with internal teams to support training and consulting services. Inspectors are expected to follow company procedures, maintain accurate records, and uphold high standards of professionalism and safety.
Qualifications
Ability to perform detailed inspections of fall protection equipment and systems, with strong attention to safety and compliance requirements. Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, industry standards for working at heights, and best practices for fall protection. Strong observational, analytical, and documentation skills, including the ability to prepare clear, accurate inspection reports. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, coworkers, and management on-site and in written correspondence. Comfort working at heights and in various industrial or construction environments, with a commitment to safe work practices. Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and travel to client locations within the Greater Halifax area as needed. Relevant certification or training in safety inspection, fall protection, or occupational health and safety is an asset. Previous experience in safety inspection, industrial safety, construction, or related fields is preferred.
