The Plumbing Technician will be responsible for performing plumbing repairs, installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance in occupied and vacant residential units. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-focused, customer-service oriented, and able to work independently as collaboratively with a team. In addition to plumbing responsibilities, the technician may be assigned other general maintenance tasks as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, drainage problems, and fixture malfunctions.
- Install and replace faucets, toilets, sinks, hot water tanks, pipes, shut-off valves, and other plumbing components.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across multiple properties
- Respond to emergency service calls promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
- Collaborate with maintenance technician team, completing other general repairs as required.
- Ensure compliance with Manitoba plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Apprentice Plumber with relevant experience.
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license required.
- Clear Criminal Record required.
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and Manitoba plumbing code
- Experience working in property management, residential maintenance, or service plumbing an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively and work independently.
- Strong communication, customer service, and time-management skills
- Ability to lift and carry tools/equipment and work in a variety of environments (basements, tight spaces, outdoor conditions)
