Paralegal - Recovery Clerk
Toronto, ONOur client, a full service law firm, located in North Toronto is growing! They are looking for a Paralegal -Recovery Clerk to join its team!
Duties & Responsibilites:
- Drafting and issuing demand letters, notices, and related correspondence.
- Drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and court documents for recovery-related proceedings.
- Maintaining organized, up-to-date files and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Assisting lawyers with enforcement, garnishments, examinations in aid of execution, and related recovery steps.
Requirements:
- A graduate of a recognized Ontario Law Clerk or Paralegal program (ILCO certification or Paralegal license preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in collections and recovery.
- Knowledge of and experience with the court’s filing systems including Case Lines and the JSO portal.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high volume of work independently while working collaboratively with the team.
