Role Summary We are seeking a hands‑on Platform Engineer (Software) with strong expertise in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Azure cloud. This is a software engineering role (not a rebranded DevOps role), focused on building developer‑facing tools, APIs, and platform services with AI‑assisted, spec‑driven development practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build front‑end experiences (React, TypeScript) for internal developer platforms, emphasizing dynamic, automated UI generation Develop back‑end APIs and services in TypeScript (Node.js), containerized on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Build and extend Backstage plugins (Spotify’s developer portal framework) Create MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations and automation flows for self‑service provisioning Contribute to Terraform and GitHub Actions orchestration where required Integrate platform services with application data layers (standard service‑owned databases) Champion developer experience: treat internal developers as customers and deliver lightweight, frictionless platform services Mentor team members and raise the bar for software engineering practices Required Skills Strong software engineering background (front‑end + back‑end) React + TypeScript for front‑end development Node.js ecosystem (TypeScript) for back‑end APIs Experience building on cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AKS) AI‑assisted, spec‑driven development and context engineering as a core practice Strong sense of product and user experience for developer‑facing tools Mentorship and collaboration skills
