Financial Analyst - Intermediate
Pay rate range -$38/hr. to $41/hr.
Hybrid work Model
Role Mandate:
Looking for a financial analyst who is flexible, and possesses a strong adaptive mindset, demonstrating a keen eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to take on new challenges.
The role will be a key support member for the Canadian retail banking line of business. Working alongside a dynamic team responsible for managing portfolios related to personal deposits and retail lending.
This role will work closely with a close-knit team consisting of senior managers, managers, and legal entity experts. The candidate will contribute to day-to-day deliverables, project support and overall portfolio management.
Role Responsibilities:
- Financial Modeling and Maintenance:
- collaborate with senior management to understand and implement updates
- perform maintenance and updates of financial/data models
- execute monthly roll-overs, ensuring accurate data ingestion and alignment with business requirements
- Reporting and Presentation:
- analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, and identify trends and variances
- prepare/update financial presentations for business review, using tools like PowerPoint.
- Active Requests and Support:
- collect and process data to assist with inquiries from different business groups
- perform day-to-day investigations and provide timely support
- generate reports for distribution to various business units
- retrieve information from existing models and databases to fulfill requests
- Ad Hoc Projects:
- demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in taking on new challenges
- supporting day to day investigations, generating models or reports as requested and contributing to team objectives.
Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
Min ~3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or other finance-related discipline
- Financial Modeling & Data Analysis
- High proficiency using MS Office Apps such as PowerPoint + Excel (Pivot tables, VLookups, various functions)
- Investigative and problem-solving approach, contributes ideas
- Well-rounded, versatile, and adaptive as the candidate may need to contribute to tasks beyond their primary portfolio
- Positive attitude and eager to learn
Nice to Have Skills:
- PowerBI or SQL
