Job Overview This role is responsible to develop and lead the B2B Sales Experience Team in the effort to achieve annual sales targets for conferences, trade shows, print, and digital advertising. This role will also account manage some high-profile customers and high-complexity contracts including prospecting and nurturing new business relationships. This role will support canfitpro events across Canada and globally as needed. This role will also collaborate with other canfitpro teams to deliver quality experiences and event logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages the full execution of the annual B2B sales targets including promotional timelines and unique related-tasks such as the development of sales materials and presentations:
- Manages monthly sales revenue targets, product inventory by monitoring sales reporting to achieve sales goals aligned with the strategic organizational goals.
- Conducts regular sales meetings with the full team to review sales, opportunities, leads, and meetings scheduled to promote the importance of sales activity and strong account management habits.
- Supports the education curriculum build and attend regular meetings to confirm sponsored education participation and prospects providing updates from open or new opportunities for all events.
- Leads and approves the creative collaboration sessions for planned marketing campaigns related to events to drive sales targets.
- Reviews and approves all B2B Sales creative briefs to ensure brand consistency and messaging is maintained with a strong call to action.
- Manages individual book of business and sales portfolio including new acquisitions and retention sales targets to support the organization event and advertising targets, including, but not limited to higher value and more complex arrangements:
- Monitors individual weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
- Plans daily sales activity including prospecting, qualifying leads, and monitoring open opportunities to maintain health pipeline.
- Schedules meetings, sends emails, and conducts phone calls to customers daily to build rapport and develop new opportunities.
- Attends external events for industry knowledge and for prospecting.
- Conducts company research to prepare for outbound call or outreach campaigns such as on LinkedIn, Google, Facebook, etc.
- Deliver account updates and insights to management and internal customers to leverage the business relationship and ensure quality handling and service.
- Collaborates with internal teams to identify sales targets for events and advertising channels.
- Collaborates with the Event Experience and Certification & Education teams to determine site selection and needs, and the fulfillment of all sponsor & exhibitor entitlements.
- Contributes to the Marketing & Communications plan for each Event to streamline marketing efforts.
- Participates in all other meetings with other teams and team leads to support the needs related to sponsorship or advertising sales.
- Manages, hires, trains, and develops team members for the successful execution and delivery of a high-quality learning and event experiences.
- Recruits qualified staff to support the needs of the team
- Assesses the performance, workload, capacity, and competencies team members to align with team goals and expectations
- Provides mentorship and guidance for role and career development
- Monitors the documentation, updates, and revision of team processes, policies, use of systems, trainings, and handbooks
- Assists with team specific annual budget planning and strategic goals by analyzing historical data and planned strategic initiatives to project monthly financial goals.
- Formulates reports on annual targets including key performance indicators and other key indicators to influence year-end targets.
- Provide regular updates to full employee base and key stakeholders.
Communication/Business Relationships Internal (within the Organization) Contacts: Marketing & Communications Team, B2B Sales Experience
Purpose of Communication: To plan and deploy marketing for delegate and consumer attendance at events, and for the fulfillment of purchased booth and sponsorships to support the event cost subsidy.
External (outside the Organization) Contacts: Suppliers, Presenters, Vendors, and Customers
Purpose of Communication: for event execution and delivery including the fulfillment of paid positions and opportunities secured related to canfitpro events.
Education
Minimum Required: Minimum of post-secondary education
Preferred: Post-Secondary Education in Business Management
Work Experience
Minimum Required: 5+ years in B2B Sales and Account Management
Preferred: 2+ years in B2B Sales Leadership and Management

Compensation: It is expected that the selected candidate will start at a base salary of $58,000. This position is eligible for commissions in addition to the base salary. The annual range of expected compensation for the position is $58,000 - $92,000 determined by performance, time in the position and variable compensation earned.
