About the role
Industrial Millwright or Industrial Electrician
This position ensures equipment is well maintained and functioning to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.
As a Industrial Millwright or Electrician you will:
- Install, assemble, and disassemble machinery and equipment according to blueprints and technical specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal functionality
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in industrial machinery.
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to address equipment-related challenges.
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of maintenance tasks as needed.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Responsible to maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. You are responsible to clean up after your work.
- Stay updated with advancements in industrial technology and machinery.
- Perform other reasonable duties as required and assigned.
We are looking for someone who:
- Valid Industrial Electrical (442A) or Industrial Millwright (433A) Red Seal. Both licenses considered a strong asset.
- 5+ years experience installing, maintaining and repairing a variety of manual and automated production machinery in a manufacturing environment in either discipline
- Knowledge in both electrical and mechanical
- PLC Knowledge
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Hydraulic press exposure would be considered an asset
- Poses proven strong critical thinking and active listening skills
- Must have completed your apprenticeship and vocational training
