Summary of the Opportunity
SelfDesign Learning Foundation is seeking experienced educational administrative support for the Educator Services team.
The scope of work includes supporting data collection, working with Google Workspace spreadsheets and documents, managing inbox workflows, and providing administrative support to the Educator Services area.
This is a 10 month, half-time contract opportunity from September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, demonstrates strong computer and organizational skills, and aligns with the SelfDesign philosophy.
Work Environment
We are a remote organization.
We operate during Pacific Time zone business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
You set your own hours of work, between the business hours noted above. You will need to allot hours M-F for specific tasks. You also need to be available for weekly and other occasional online meetings during these same hours. Meetings are scheduled in advance.

Contract Details
Oversight: You will work at the direction of the Team Lead.
Services Required
- Monitor and respond to emails in the Educator Services shared inboxes
- Support during Educator Services meetings
- Support the collection and organization of Educator Services data
- Carry out administrative tasks to support the Educator Services area (e.g. filing, data entry, scheduling and calendar maintenance)
- Maintain clear and timely communication using the tools / methods provided.

Experience and Credentials
- Demonstrated experience in an administration support role.
- Experience working with remote/online teams using Google Workspace is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting confidential information and processes.
- Degree, certification or an equivalent combination of work experience in an educational and/or administrative assistant or support role.
Mandatory Requirements
If you are offered and accept this contract opportunity, you will need to
- Undergo a Criminal Record Check which must be obtained through SelfDesign with the BC Solicitor General's office at your own expense (approximately $28)
