About The Role The Operations Manager for Physical Security Installations will oversee and manage physical security installations, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, intercoms, and environmental sensors. The Operations Manager will be responsible for conducting onsite site walks, scoping the Bill of Materials (BoM), coordinating and scheduling installation teams, and maintaining vendor relationships. This individual will also be responsible for sourcing cost-effective materials and staying up to date with the latest advancements in physical security and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Assessments & Installation Planning
  • Conduct onsite site walks to assess security requirements and provide expert recommendations.
  • Create detailed installation plans, ensuring all security devices are placed optimally for coverage and compliance.
  • Develop scope of work (SOW) and associated documentation for clients.
  • Identify any network infrastructure upgrades required for security deployments, such as PoE switches, structured cabling, and power backups.
  • Scoping & Procurement
  • Develop and finalize Bill of Materials (BoM) for each project, ensuring accuracy in cost estimation and equipment selection.
  • Source and procure cost-effective materials while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, ensuring the company receives competitive rates for equipment.
  • Ensure materials are delivered on schedule to prevent installation delays.
  • Installation Coordination & Scheduling
  • Plan, assign, and oversee the installation team, ensuring deployments are executed efficiently.
  • Coordinate with clients, general contractors, and IT teams to align schedules and minimize disruptions.
  • Monitor installation progress and resolve technical or logistical issues that arise onsite.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Staying Current on Technology & Best Practices
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in physical security hardware, Verkada systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Engage in continuous training and certifications on Verkada cameras, access control, alarms, and intercom systems.
  • Research and implement industry best practices to optimize security deployments.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Track inventory levels and forecast material requirements for upcoming projects.
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors to ensure cost efficiency and improved product availability.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure that all installations comply with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Perform quality control checks on installed security systems to ensure proper function.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the installation team during deployments.
  • Document installation procedures and provide training to new team members.

Reporting and Work Environment

  • Reports directly to Vicky Bagwalla, CTO of Cloud Managed Networks.
  • Hybrid role requiring onsite visits for site surveys and installations.
  • Work closely with project managers, IT teams, clients, and installation crews.
  • Must be available for emergency installation support and troubleshooting.
