What You'll Do;
As a Senior IT Network and System Analyst with Sporting Life Group, you will design, implement, maintain, and optimise our enterprise network and system infrastructure.
You will have deep technical expertise in network architecture, systems administration, cybersecurity, and cloud services, as well as strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
Network Administration & Architecture
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, switches, and routers.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and security.
- Evaluate and implement network upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Enforce and update network security policies and procedures.
Systems Administration
- Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Exchange, and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical infrastructure.
- Automate and streamline system administration tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure
- Support cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS), including migration and integration with on-premise systems.
- Implement and manage cloud security and access controls.
Security & Compliance
- Perform risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and remediation activities.
- Ensure systems and networks comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
Collaboration & Support
- Provide technical leadership to junior analysts and IT support staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT solutions that align with business goals.
- Maintain thorough documentation of systems, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
What You’ll Bring;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- 5–7+ years of experience in network/system administration, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in managing enterprise Windows/Linux servers and Active Directory.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).
- Scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and tools.
Certifications (Preferred)
- CCNP / CCNA
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect
- CompTIA Network+ / Security+
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
