Job Title Sr. Supervisor, Production and Sewing

Position Overview The Senior Supervisor, Production and Sewing is responsible for coordinating and planning the activities of the sewing floor, ensuring the teams are performing at a high level and reaching daily targets. Provide Leadership to the sewing floor.
What You’ll Do
- Review the Production Schedule daily and plan work for all lines (Bundling/ Marking/ Down fill)
- Review the approved Sample with the Manual before production starts
- Work with the Industry Engineering Techs to calculate the manpower requirement and balance lines for optimum output.
- Identify Training requirements for each section/line and coordinate with the Training Supervisor
- Review low performance (Efficiency & Quality) and work with them to create action plans for improvements.
- Provide a safe environment within the department and Manufacturing floor
- Request Time studies to be done on a timely basis
- Review all Production boards are up to date with accurate information for all.
- Review reports and make decisions promptly
- Review with maintenance staff for all equipment is in working condition and used for the right operation
- Continuously find ways to improve the process flow to maximize output.
- Communicate and update direct reports for business updates/ Union grievances/ Management decisions.
Let's Talk About You
- Over 10 years of Apparel Manufacturing experience
- 5 years of Supervisory position ( Preferably in Apparel Industry)
- Ability to sew and follow Manual
- Ability to work with a deal effectively with a diverse group of people
- Must be familiar with Sewing operations and Machines ( industrial type)
- Ability to read and write in English
- Able to Prioritize work and delegate work
- Update the Management periodically with solutions/ action
- Must be familiar with computers and business software such as MS Office, Excel,
