Job Description We're looking for a Financial Analyst who thrives on solving complex challenges and making an impact. On our Cash Accounting team, you’ll ensure accurate reconciliations, prepare insightful financial reports, collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve intricate banking and payment issues. You’ll also contribute to special projects and new initiatives, giving you exposure to process improvements and innovative solutions. What You’ll Do

  • Conduct accurate and timely monthly reconciliations for bank and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including complex accruals and adjustments in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Analyze and prepare ad hoc reports, identifying risks, trends and calling our potential impacts for internal stakeholders.
  • Identify complex issues in banking and customer payments and collaborate with various internal and external partners to resolve.
  • Ensure coverage of cash operations by supporting other Associates on processes for cheque deposits, wire payments, customer payment processing, general ledger & bank reconciliations etc.
  • Assist management in special projects that drive process efficiencies, new initiatives, and/or team metrics gathering.

About You

  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Post-Secondary education in a related field (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce or Economics).
  • Strong data manipulation and spreadsheet modelling skills; comfortable mining large amounts of data and running SQL and/or Tableau queries.
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP including: the ability to identify assets, liabilities, income statement accounts, debits and credits.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating complex business workflows that integrate with other areas of an organization; an understanding of upstream/downstream impacts of issues or errors.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including spreadsheet manipulation and modeling (Microsoft Excel) and data visualization (Power Bi, Tableau) abilities. Fluency with structured query language (SQL) is an asset.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively (as situations require), work under time constraints, and meet fixed deadlines.

Salary Range: $60,082.50-$84,115.50 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
