CareRx is in an exciting growth phase and is seeking to hire a Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse to join our off-site team at a Seniors Care Home in Surrey, BC.

Under the general direction of the Designated Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacy Operations Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assisting in the administration of medications accurately in accordance with pharmaceutical policies and procedures and to provide nursing care to the residents.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with GP and pharmacists to provide care for an independent living home
  • Communicating any unmet needs and concerns to the clinical pharmacist
  • Support in the administration of medications, including oral, subcutaneous and some topical medications in accordance with pharmaceutical policies and procedures.
  • Head to toe assessments to assess therapy and detect unmet needs
  • Vitals monitoring including BP, HR, RR, etc.
  • Nursing documentation
  • Measuring BG and administering insulin for diabetic patients
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver the best care

What You Will Bring to The Team:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with College of Nurses of British Columbia

  • Ability to manage changing priorities

  • Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team

  • Customer service oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication, service skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Empathetic to patients

  • Current CPR certificate preferred

  • The ability to speak Korean (required).

Compensation Range: $30-35/hour. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location: This is an on-site role located in Surrey

Work Shifts: 20 to 29 hours a week, including weekends
Shifts are 6:30am to 9:30am, 11am to 12:30pm, 3:30pm to 6:30pm and 7:30pm to 8:30pm
