About the role
Our Service Assistants providing essential administrative support to the branch, including opening, maintaining, and closing work orders, and acting as a back up receptionist. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Location: On-site at our Elkford, BC branch
Salary Range: $50,000 - $54,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
What You’ll Do
- Open and close work orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Maintain and update work orders by collecting and documenting required data, coordinating with customers for approvals, verifying costing, tracking job status, and organizing all related documentation.
- Create and receive purchase orders, ensuring proper coding and follow-through.
- Collaborate with vendors to process invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide backup support to the Receptionist, ensuring smooth front-office operations when needed.
What You Bring
The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education, along with the following qualifications:
- Experience in an industrial environment.
- Strong computer proficiency, including the Microsoft Office suite, databases and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to manage and prioritize tasks.
- Solid time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
