About the Role
We are currently hiring for a full-time, Cook (Level 1) position. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in preparing ingredients and completing mise en place for assigned stations to support efficient and consistent kitchen operations
- Supporting basic station tasks including vegetable preparation, garde manger, and butchery work under the direction of senior chefs
- Plating and assembling dishes under supervision, ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to presentation standards
- Maintaining a clean, organized workstation at all times while following all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures
- Following instructions from senior chefs, communicating effectively with the team, and demonstrating enthusiasm for learning and developing culinary skills

What Makes You a Great Fit
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Culinary school experience or previous kitchen experience (preferred, not required)
- A strong interest in culinary arts and hospitality
- A reliable, punctual approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- A willingness to learn, take direction, and adapt across different stations and tasks
- The physical ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 40 lbs in a hot and humid kitchen environment

Pay & Schedule
- Wage: $18.70 per hour - The kitchen team participates in our Culinary Recognition Program, providing additional earnings distributed with each pay period.
- Schedule: Full-Time, weekends and holidays required
- Start Date: TBD
- We offer a $500 signing bonus following the successful completion of three months of employment. An anniversary bonus is awarded at your two-year milestone and each subsequent anniversary

About Langdon Hall Country House Hotel & Spa
Langdon Hall is an elegant and comfortable retreat offering that home away from home atmosphere. As a member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux association, the property prides itself on creating a unique experience brimming with all the charm, character, cuisine, calm and courtesy you would find at the finest Relais & Chateaux property. Located one hour west of Toronto, Langdon Hall was built as a magnificent summer home in 1898 for the granddaughter of John Jacob Astor of New York City, a gentlemen who made his fortune in several areas of business including the Waldorf Astoria, the greatest hotel of its era. In 1987 Langdon Hall began its transformation into a hotel and now offers 60 guest suites, a full service spa, and the only Five-Diamond award winning restaurant in Ontario.
