As a Procurement Director within Pomerleau's Major Projects team, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain and continuous improvement. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $250 millions to over $1 billion - you will play a crucial role in supplier and procurement management, as well as team management.
What you will do :
Supply Chain Management and Continuous Improvement :
- Manage the entire supply chain process, from inventory management to production planning and distribution.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies in collaboration with the Major Projects teams.
- Communicate and train teams on-site.
- Analyze and optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
- Risk management: identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Systems management: set priorities and monitor system improvements (SAP).
Team Management :
- Supervise the Purchasing, Warehouse, and Contract Administration teams.
- Monitor operational performance indicators and lead meetings (construction/supply chain).
- Manage resources and track performance.
Procurement and Supplier Management :
- Optimize costs and seek savings opportunities.
- Oversee disputes and manage framework agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable on-site supply.
Subcontract Administration :
- Implement and monitor contractual procedures.
- Plan supply lots.
- Supervise and negotiate main contracts.
On-Site Warehouse Management :

Supervise procedures and optimize stock levels.

Manage priorities and communicate with operations.
This role could be for you if you have :
- 10+ years of experience
- Construction experience is an asset
- Autonomy
- Ability to anticipate and plan priority tasks
- Good listening skills and a spirit of synthesis
