About the role
Lacombe Outreach School is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and adaptable teacher to join our specialized team supporting our unique hybrid learning program for Grades 7-9. This program is designed to provide a flexible and supportive educational environment for students who face challenges in a traditional school setting.
Assignment:
- Full-time 1.0 FTE probationary teaching position
- Duties to commence August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year
Qualifications:

Experience working in an Outreach/Alternative school environment would be considered an asset

Specific skill set in multiple grade levels and subjects

Experience adapting and modifying student programming
-
Passion for education and commitment to student success

Assessment literate
-
Ability to utilize varied instructional Strategies to meet a wide range of individual needs

Ability to work independently is essential

Ability to teach multiple grades and subjects simultaneously Ability to work as a part of a strong collaborative team

Must have strong technology and 21st century learning skills

Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Strong classroom management skills

Experience teaching in an online environment would be considered an asset

Ability to build strong student relationships

Experience working with diverse learners

Commitment to ongoing professional growth
