Senior Accountant $90,000–$100,000 + Strong Bonus + Benefits Toronto, ON (4 Days In-Office)
Our client is a publicly listed organization with international operations and a lean, collaborative corporate team. They offer accounting professionals the opportunity to gain broad exposure, take on meaningful responsibility, and contribute directly to a growing business.
This opportunity is ideal for a CPA candidate or recently designated CPA looking to further develop their technical expertise while gaining exposure to public company reporting, operational accounting, and cross-functional business initiatives.
Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Support public company reporting requirements, regulatory filings, and external audit processes. Prepare working papers, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for financial reporting and compliance activities. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and controls. Corporate & Operational Accounting Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records across multiple entities. Manage accounts payable and receivable activities, cash management, and intercompany transactions. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis initiatives across the organization. Process Improvement & Business Support Assist with enhancing accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting workflows. Prepare financial analyses and management reporting packages to support decision-making. Collaborate with operational and corporate teams on special projects, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc analysis.
Qualifications: 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience. CPA designation or active pursuit of the designation is considered an asset. Strong understanding of IFRS or the ability to quickly learn and apply accounting standards. Experience within project-based, industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, construction, mining, or natural resource environments is an asset but not required. Advanced Excel skills and experience working within multi-entity organizations. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
