The Inventory Support Analyst plays a key role in supporting inventory performance and procurement initiatives across all locations. Working together with the Inventory Support Team, this position is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, improving processes, and identifying cost-saving opportunities through strategic purchasing and sourcing.

This role primarily focuses on supporting Short-Line and Non-Deere parts inventory and will be cross-trained in Deere inventory processes to provide team coverage and collaboration. In addition to inventory management responsibilities, this role will support company-wide procurement initiatives by sourcing and negotiating products and supplies used across multiple departments and locations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Parts Manager to establish objectives and ordering strategies.
  • Support inventory management and stocking strategies for Short-Line and Non-Deere vendors, while gaining working knowledge of Deere inventory systems and processes.
  • Analyze purchasing patterns, sales history, and inventory trends to recommend stocking level adjustments.
  • Generate and review reports related to fill rates, inventory performance, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist with monthly surplus returns and periodic inventory counts or audits.
  • Maximize use of vendor programs, discounts, and ordering opportunities.
  • Support communication and coordination with store-level Parts Managers to ensure alignment with inventory
  • practices.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to centralize purchasing and reduce costs across all locations through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cross-department collaboration.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, product quality, and pricing competitiveness.
  • Develop recommendations for standardized suppliers and purchasing practices across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of previous experience in parts sales, purchasing, inventory management, or procurement.
  • Agriculture equipment or parts knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles or inventory purchasing experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to independently source and identify vendors for commonly used products and supplies.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and locations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to evolving technology and inventory systems.

Salary Range

  • $65,000 – $80,000 per year
  • Placement within the wage range is based on skills, experience and qualifications
  • Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be placed outside the salary range
