About The Opportunity Our growing client in Ottawa west is looking for a Controller to join their fast-paced, dynamic organization on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner
- Production of financial statements
- Coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts
- Preparing Month and Year End close for appropriate department
- Ensure compliance to reporting standards, including investor reporting packages
- Financial/Risk analysis, ad hoc analysis as needed
- Institute and maintain internal controls as well as streamlining policies & procedures
- Communicating with Senior Management on all Finance-related strategies, including developing long-term growth models and tax strategies
- Oversee Accounting team to ensure accuracy and submissions in a timely manner, provide support and mentorship towards the successful development of the Accounting team through thoughtful training and evaluation
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- Active, or in pursuit of, CPA Designation
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance within a similar role for a medium-to-large organization, including 3+ years of leadership of an accounting team
- Previous experience with Property Management/REIT preferred
- Previous experience in a project-based industry is an asset
- Strong oral, written, and communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
