CBI Home Health is hiring an Operations Supervisor to service our clients in Saskatoon, SK. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safety, care and supervision of children up to the ages of 12, while in emergency care. Our clients can range from a wide variety of ethnic cultures who will be cared for in a residential care setting.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide direction to staff aligned with policies and procedures and standards of professional conduct
- Assist in ensuring that Child Care Workers (CCW) are scheduled in the homes in accordance with the funding guidelines
- Collaborates with Managers and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst where applicable to develop monthly activity recreational plan
- Collaborates with Management to ensure follow through on contracted services, including the Individual Support Plan (ISP)/ Plan of Care (POC), Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) protocol
Supervision/Management
- This position is considered Management and out of scope of the union
- Supervision and management of staff will report directly to this role
- Assist in ensuring adherence to policies and procedures as well as regional licensing requirements. Escalate issues when required.
- Assist in training and onboarding of Child Care Workers in collaboration with Operations Managers whenever possible
- Assist in ensuring Child Care Workers are well aligned with the Key Accountabilities of their role and are meeting performance expectations including execution of recreation and activity plans.
- Recruitment of front-line staff.
- Conduct to probationary reviews and annual performance reviews and performance management, and improvement plans.
- Contribute too solutions and support, often in collaboration with the Manager, when there are challenging performance issues
- Delivery of disciplinary warnings and terminations.
- Ensures that mandatory and annual training requirements provided by Human Resources are complete and gaps addressed
- Report workplace injuries in reporting system and the workplace injury report is forwarded to the appropriate manager.
Documentation And Administration
- Provide support and guidance to Child Care Workers with ensuring accurate records of house petty cash and the client’s personal cash, escalating concerns or challenges to managers when needed.
- Assists with monitoring client’s finances (expenditures, reimbursements, may include reconciling the client’s personal funds at month end). Completes audits as per policy.
Job Requirements Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 year of experience in a supervisor or leadership role in a service-focused organization
- Minimum 3 years of experience working directly with clients (Children) with higher behavior support needs, intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis,
- Demonstrated patient-centred focus with a commitment to providing quality care.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Valid Vehicle Insurance with $ 2,000,000 liability
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary Education or certification in Health, Social Work , Health Administration, or related field
- Strong knowledge of the health care system, and experience in home and community care
