Job description

We are looking to add a Structural Designer to our team to support the development of retail displays, packaging, and in-store programs. In this role, you will design creative, structurally sound solutions that balance visual impact, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and sustainability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring projects from concept through sampling and production, ensuring designs perform in real-world retail environments and meet operational requirements.

Designing structural concepts for retail displays and packaging Translating creative direction into efficient, manufacturable structures Balancing strength, material usage, assembly, cost, and sustainability Supporting projects from initial concept through prototyping and production Creating 3D structural renderings and visualizations to support internal reviews, client approvals, and production alignment

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Structural design for retail displays and packaging Producing accurate structural renderings to communicate design intent, assembly, and material usage prior to sampling and production Dieline creation, refinement, and preparation for production Sample cutting and physical prototyping Product planograms and fit testing Die and tooling documentation and catalog management Creation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support accurate costing, production planning, and manufacturing handoff Supporting production teams with clear, accurate design intent throughout the manufacturing process

What You Should Be Comfortable With

Structural design software (e.g. ArtiosCAD, EngView, FormZ, or similar CAD-based tools) 3D design and visualization for packaging and display structures Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator required; others are an asset) CAD cutting tables and sample-making workflows Print, packaging, and/or display manufacturing processes Retail store specifications, constraints, and compliance requirements Experience across multiple tools is valued, and a willingness to learn new platforms and technologies is expected.

Ideally, You’ll Have

A diploma or degree in Packaging Design, Structural Design, or a related discipline 3+ years of experience designing for retail, packaging, displays, or fulfillment environments Exposure to production environments and quality-driven workflows Experience working within structured processes (Total Quality Management experience is an asset) Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills A customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail You’ll Thrive Here If You Work well in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment Are comfortable adopting and learning new technologies and tools Take ownership and operate with a self-starter mindset Stay focused on execution and results, not just concepts Enjoy fast-paced environments with shifting priorities Can think creatively while staying grounded in real-world constraints Are accountable, adaptable, and comfortable pivoting when priorities change
