Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) Inspecteur(trice) de la qualité pour se joindre à notre équipe à Vaudreuil-Dorion. Calian est un fabricant de premier plan de systèmes d’antennes avancés desservant des secteurs tels que l’astronomie, le radar, la guerre électronique, l’espace lointain et les communications par satellite.

Dans le cadre de l’expansion de nos activités au Canada, aux États-Unis et à l’international, nous recherchons une personne rigoureuse, ayant un bon esprit d’équipe et une passion pour la qualité. Relevant de Patrick, vous participerez à l’inspection des pièces, à la validation des processus de production et au maintien des standards de qualité dans nos installations de fabrication.

Responsabilités

Effectuer l’inspection physique des pièces et composantes reçues

Lire et interpréter des dessins techniques

Utiliser des instruments de mesure de précision tels que des pieds à coulisse, des rubans à mesurer et des calibres à goupilles

Effectuer des inspections visuelles et des vérifications en cours de production

Valider les processus de fabrication directement avec les assembleurs et les équipes de production

Identifier, isoler et documenter les non-conformités à l’aide de rapports détaillés

S’assurer que les procédures et les exigences de qualité sont respectées

Collaborer avec les membres de l’équipe afin de maintenir les standards de qualité

Effectuer des inspections dans différentes installations, incluant les secteurs de soudage et de peinture

Soutenir l’équipe de production dans diverses tâches générales sur le plancher de production

Effectuer toute autre tâche confiée par le gestionnaire de la qualité

Accomplir d’autres tâches connexes selon les besoins du poste

Qualifications

Diplôme d’études secondaires ou équivalent (GED) requis

De 1 à 2 années d’expérience en inspection de qualité, en fabrication ou dans un domaine connexe

Capacité à lire et interpréter des dessins techniques

Connaissance des instruments de mesure et des méthodes d’inspection

Bonne compréhension des environnements manufacturiers

Formation en qualité considérée comme un atout

Expérience comme machiniste considérée comme un atout

Excellente acuité visuelle pour l’inspection détaillée des produits

Capacité à distinguer les couleurs lors des activités d’inspection

Écriture claire et lisible pour assurer une documentation précise

Capacité de soulever jusqu’à 50 lb (22,62 kg)

Volonté d’apprendre et de développer ses compétences

Le bilinguisme est considéré comme un atout

Exigences supplémentaires

Horaire de travail de 7 h 30 à 16 h 00

Capacité à se déplacer entre différentes installations de production selon les besoins

Permis de conduire valide et accès à un véhicule requis

Capacité à obtenir les vérifications de sécurité requises

Capacité à travailler de façon autonome au sein d’une petite équipe qualité

Position Overview

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team in Vaudreuil-Dorion. Calian is a leading manufacturer of advanced antenna systems serving industries such as Astronomy, Radar, Electronic Warfare, Deep Space, and Satellite Communications.

As we continue to expand our business across Canada, the United States, and internationally, we are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong team spirit and a passion for quality. Reporting to Patrick, you will support product inspections, validate manufacturing processes, and help maintain quality standards across our operations.

Responsibilities

Perform physical inspections of incoming parts and components

Read and interpret technical drawings

Use precision measuring tools such as vernier calipers, measuring tape, and pin gauges

Conduct visual inspections and in-process production checks

Validate manufacturing processes directly with assemblers and production personnel

Identify, isolate, and document non-conformances through detailed reports

Ensure quality procedures and requirements are followed

Collaborate with team members to maintain quality standards

Perform inspections at multiple facilities, including welding and painting operations

Provide support to the production team with general shop floor tasks

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager

Carry out other duties as required within the context of the role

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

1–2 years of inspection experience in manufacturing or a related field

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Knowledge of precision measuring tools and inspection techniques

Manufacturing experience is considered an asset

Quality training is considered an asset

Machinist experience is considered an asset

Strong visual acuity for detailed product inspection

Ability to distinguish colours as required for inspection activities

Clear and legible handwriting for accurate documentation

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22.62 kg)

Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Bilingualism is considered an asset

Additional Requirements

Work schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Ability to travel between production facilities as required

Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation required

Ability to complete required security clearance screenings

Ability to work independently as part of a small quality team
