Reporting to the IT Squad Service Manager, the IT Technician plays a key role in ensuring the stability and quality of delivered services by advising and supporting colleagues in analyzing and resolving issues, leveraging a broad understanding of EBC’s business domains.
More specifically, the responsibilities include:
- Provide full IT support (Helpdesk and Infrastructure) for a site with approximately 100 users.
- Participate in a project lasting about 4 years.
- Coordinate and ensure that services are delivered professionally and in a friendly manner, while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Act as a resource for technical support to site users and business partners.
- Diagnose, analyze, document, investigate, and/or resolve issues independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills (Workstations, Printers, Network Infrastructure).
- Manage inventory and produce inventory reports as needed.
- Contribute to optimizing operational processes and support continuous improvement of IT services for EBC construction sites and operations.
- Actively research new partners to improve operational reach for remote sites.
- Serve as a technology advisor to implement new solutions that enhance site infrastructure.
- Perform any other related tasks.
###Requirements
- DEC or DEP in Computer Science or relevant field.
- Experience in IT support for end users and use of a ticket management system (ITSM).
- Strong communication skills; bilingualism English/French (written and spoken) preferred.
- Must be available for emergency support outside regular hours if required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 environment.
- Knowledge of using an ITSM platform.
