About the role
Cryopak is seeking a proactive and results-driven Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to support purchasing, inventory management, supplier negotiations, logistics coordination, and production planning across our operations in Canada, the U.S., and France. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional with strong procurement experience, advanced Excel skills, and a passion for optimizing supply chain performance, controlling costs, and ensuring material availability.
Key Responsibilities Manage purchasing activities and issue purchase orders for raw materials, equipment, and services. Maintain inventory levels using min/max and safety stock strategies. Monitor open orders, shipments, and supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery. Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers. Identify cost-saving opportunities through sourcing, logistics, and process improvements. Support freight and transportation optimization initiatives. Analyze inventory, procurement, and supply chain KPIs using Excel dashboards and reporting tools. Partner with Production, Quality, Finance, Maintenance, and Sales teams to meet business objectives. Maintain supplier records, pricing updates, and ERP master data. Support new product costing and collaborate on continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. 3–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment. Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, reporting, dashboards). Experience with ERP systems and inventory management. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Information Up to 10% travel required. Bilingual French and English required. English proficiency is essential, as approximately 75% of the role involves communication and negotiations with Western Canada suppliers and participation in daily meetings.
