Summary SLR has an opening for a North America Integration Manager to support the teams we are acquiring around the world and help them become part of the SLR family.
It’s an exciting time to be part of SLR as we support our clients in Making Sustainability Happen. In the last 5 years we have tripled in size and a lot of that has been due to the nearly 30 companies we have acquired and integrated into our business.
As we continue to grow organically and acquire more companies, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, practical and collaborative individual to join our team to support the businesses in North America that we bring into our family and integrate them into our teams.
The role will work closely with and report into our Global Head of Integration. This role will be focussed on North America and there will be a requirement for travel both within North America and potentially beyond to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
The North America Integration Manager will work closely with our M&A Team during the due diligence phase of acquisitions. They will also work closely with our North America and Global Group colleagues and leaders of the acquired businesses to collaboratively develop integration and engagement plans. This includes the leaders of our support service functions including operations, finance, HR and IT.
Main Duties And Responsibilities Develop a well-planned and managed integration for specific acquired businesses from pre-completion to full integrations in business as usual. Fully engage with stakeholders to collaboratively consider people and culture aspects of integration. Support the acquired business and existing teams across SLR to identify synergies and track the success of them. Support the Global Head of Integration to complete some existing North America integrations and assist in the management of complex multi-regional integrations.
Personal Responsibilities Include
- Work with group and regional leads from M&A, operations, growth team, finance, HR, IT and business systems, marketing and communications, health & safety, environment and quality to ensure integration projects are set up effectively for all acquisitions – including resource and costs identification, communication and engagement plans, delivery plans, coordination of Integration Team, management information reporting, issue management.
- Lead or contribute to lessons learnt sessions following every integration and help evolve our approach to continue to implement best practice.
Required Person spec - Summary
- Change management – understanding and experience of the drivers for and forces against change and how to harness or mitigate them.
- Integration – experience of managing or being part of an integration programme with knowledge of typical work streams, plans and governance, risks and mitigating actions.
- Operations in a consultancy or professional services environment – understanding of the types of finance, HR and operational systems and processes that a consultancy team requires and how performance is managed and measured.
- Team and project management – experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams who all have different priorities and drivers, stakeholder engagement, developing implementation plans, monitoring progress against the plan and expected KPIs, and manage conflicts or issues.
- Personal qualities – ability to learn quickly, ability to influence; particularly in terms of prioritising resources, ability to build trusted relationships with individuals from new organisations, ability to adapt communications style to circumstances, flexibility to adapt working day to engage with stakeholders around the world.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred
- Business management – experience of managing a consultancy business to understand its different functions (e.g. finance, governance, operations, marketing, business systems, HR, etc) and ability to identify risks and develop mitigating actions to address.
- Fluent in Spanish.
