Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Architect to lead architectural projects and contribute to the firm's growth across Western Canada. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions, managing projects from concept to completion, and fostering strong client relationships while mentoring team members. The successful candidate will bring deep architectural expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for design excellence and collaboration.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Lead architectural projects of varying size and complexity through all phases of design and construction
• Ensure compliance with building codes, permit guidelines, and industry standards
• Maintain proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp) and project management tools
• Review and evaluate design documents, working drawings, and consultant deliverables
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project planning sessions
• Contribute to business development by preparing proposals, bids, and qualifications packages
• Identify and pursue new project opportunities to support revenue growth
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure profitability and timely delivery
• Mentor and coach intern architects and project team members
• Oversee site evaluations, construction reviews, and approval processes
• Monitor work during construction for adherence to design intent and specifications
• Provide leadership in contract administration, change management, and invoicing
• Support continuous improvement in design quality and operational efficiency

Your strengths include:

• Master's Degree in Architecture and registration with the Alberta Association of Architects
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an architecture firm with a diverse portfolio (residential, commercial, government, healthcare)
• Comprehensive knowledge of architectural principles, building codes, technical detailing, and construction processes
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and foster a collaborative team environment
• Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to adding value and delivering results
• Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic work environment
