Join our team as the Director, Affinity and Insurance Programs! In this role you’ll develop, manage, and optimize our Affinity and Insurance programs to drive revenue, enhance our patient experience through our partners programs and assets, strength our brand awareness, develop innovative ways to enhance lives and improve access to eye care.

You’ll collaborate with existing program partners and cultivate a network of new partners, with a focus on Canada’s primary insurance leaders and large organizations who operate private insurance plans. You’ll work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Strategic Support Units to develop and execute tactics that align to FYidoctors and our partner’s business objectives.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to attract new partners to participate in our Affinity programs
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen our partners eye care programs through improved communication and marketing of patient discounts and eye health knowledge
• Building relationships within the insurance industry, creating opportunities for FYidoctors leaders to showcase the value of eye health and opportunities to improve access to eye care
• Driving revenue growth by improving access to eye exams via partner portals, and FYidoctors assets and providing value to patients through discounts on frames, lenses, and contacts
• Partnering with SSUs in the unique design and deployment of Affinity program elements and marketing materials
• Ensuring insurance programs have aligned goals with both our partner and FYidoctors
• Working with SSUs and partners on KPIs and reporting, tracking performance against established goals
• Conducting data-driven analyses to optimize program effectiveness and profitability
• Overseeing partner tactics to improve adoption, engagement, and retention of patients
• Identifying and developing partnerships with key Affinity groups
• Partnering with SSUs to negotiate contract terms and ensuring partnerships deliver mutual value
• Collaborating with the marketing teams to create unique targeted campaigns to increase program participation
• Building long-term relationships to drive sustainable growth and FYidoctors loyalty
• Establishing and tracking KPIs to measure individual program success, profitability, patient impact
• Collaborating with finance teams on budgeting, discount strategies and forecasting
• Driving efficiencies in program operations to improve profit margins, adoption and participation
• Developing financial models to assess program ROI and identify area for improvement
• Ensuring all programs comply with FYidoctors internal, regulatory and industry standards
• Working with legal teams to manage contract negotiations and risk assessments
• Partnering with IT and other SSUs to deliver on the necessary digital experience for patients
• Staying up to date on insurance market trends, regulations, and competitor activity
• Developing risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization’s financial and legal interests related to Affinity programs
• Managing complex integrations with cross functional teams
• Communicating programs vision and long-term direction
• Leading and mentoring positively influencing support colleagues, and fostering a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, and patient-centricity
• Sharing your passion for Eye Care, the Optical Industry and the FYidoctors platform

As the Successful Candidate You Have:

• 10+ years’ experience in the insurance industry or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance
• Demonstrated expertise in health insurance, partnership management, customer acquisitions and program execution
• Strong proficiency in contract negotiation and financial modeling
• Strong understanding of pricing, underwriting, and P&L management
• Experience securing and managing high-value partnerships, with the ability to create and deliver competitive solutions to partners
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with strong expertise in Excel
• Ability to develop and execute long-term insurance and Affinity programs
• Ability to leverage analytics to optimize programs and drive growth
• Ability to establish and achieve goals aligning with business objectives
• Proven experience leading change management and implementing process improvements
• Professional, organized, and technically proficient independent thinker who builds positive relationships
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to guide and inform all organizational levels while explaining complex topics clearly and tactfully
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, develop, coach, support and empower others while creating a positive workplace culture
• Excels in a fast- paced dynamic environment, consistently meeting tight deadlines
• Bilingualism English and French is considered an asset
