Sustainability and innovation are core to our mission, driving us to create sustainable solutions that contribute to a better future for all. Join our team and be part of a company committed to making a meaningful impact through engineering excellence and innovative project delivery.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in mining to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in delivering complex capital projects within the mining and mineral processing sectors. This role requires overseeing projects from inception through completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will manage the full project lifecycle, including early-stage studies, proposal development, detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning. Collaborating closely with clients, you will define project strategies, manage technical and commercial risks, and ensure alignment with project objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing large-scale mining and heavy industrial projects, including mineral processing facilities and infrastructure, with experience supporting or managing NI 43-101 technical studies and acting as or working closely with Qualified Persons (QPs).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines such as Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Mining Engineering, with over 15 years of experience in delivering capital projects within the mining or mineral processing sectors. Proven experience managing projects up to $200 million Total Installed Cost (TIC) is essential. Candidates should have a solid background supporting or leading technical study phases like PEA, PFS, and FS, along with expertise in project controls, scheduling (preferably MS Project), budgeting, and cost forecasting. Demonstrated success in managing project risks, change management, and maintaining strong client relationships is required. Additionally, experience contributing to or overseeing NI 43-101 technical reports and documentation is highly desirable. Candidates must be eligible to act as a Qualified Person (QP) under NI 43-101 or have extensive experience working closely with QPs. Flexibility to travel to project sites and client locations as needed is also a requirement.

Responsibilities

Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary project teams across various engineering disciplines and geographic locations. Establish comprehensive project plans, objectives, risk management frameworks, schedules, and deliverables. Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Provide mentorship and leadership to project engineers and technical staff to foster professional growth and project success.

Technical Expertise: Oversee engineering execution for greenfield and brownfield mining and mineral processing projects. Support and manage scopes of work during technical studies including PEA, PFS, FS, FEED, and detailed engineering phases. Develop scope definitions, cost estimates, and execution strategies during proposal and study phases. Ensure engineering outputs meet quality standards aligned with Sacré-Davey's Quality Management System. Coordinate across engineering disciplines to deliver integrated, technically sound project solutions.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for clients, maintaining strong relationships through clear and consistent communication. Present project updates, technical progress, and strategic plans to clients and stakeholders. Facilitate alignment among engineering teams, project sponsors, and external partners. Manage scope changes and client expectations professionally, ensuring transparency throughout project execution.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant engineering codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct project phase reviews and incorporate lessons learned into future project planning. Provide technical oversight for NI 43-101 compliant studies and reports, supporting the sign-off process as necessary.

Strategic Contributions: Support business development efforts through proposal preparation, scope definition, and effort estimation. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance project delivery and client satisfaction. Contribute to the ongoing development of Sacré-Davey's project management practices. Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships within the mining industry to support future business growth.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership in managing diverse engineering teams, possess significant experience in mining or industrial projects, and excel in navigating complex stakeholder environments. Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to client engagement are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic consulting environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
