About the role
We are hiring for a permanent part-time 0.51fte Community Respiratory Therapist, based out of the Westbank Health Unit, in West Kelowna, B.C. This position works Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 08:00 to 14:45.

About the position:
The Community Respiratory Therapist works within the hospital and community to deliver respiratory therapy services and programs related to Community Respiratory Therapy:

The promotion of respiratory health
-
The assessment, education, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with respiratory dysfunction
-
Communicating and demonstrating community and hospital based respiratory care procedures to other health care professionals and students
-
The use of respiratory equipment or special procedures

Graduation from a recognized program in Respiratory Therapy
Successful completion of the Health Professionals Testing Canada (HPTC) Credentialing Exam.
Eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) and the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT).
Two years’ recent experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, asthma education, respiratory home care, home ventilation, home oxygen, and sleep disordered breathing screening, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current valid BC driver’s license.
