Position Overview - We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical expertise and hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems. This role requires problem-solving ability, technical knowledge, and a commitment to ensuring optimal system performance and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including boilers, air conditioners, and heating units.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and related equipment.
- Perform appliance repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades (plumbing, welding, sheet metal work) for installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records, documenting work performed and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service and explain technical issues clearly to clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with schematics and HVAC documentation.
- Skills in appliance repair, plumbing, welding, or related trades (asset).
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Excellent troubleshooting and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license (required).
- Post-secondary apprenticeship (required).
- Gas ticket (preferred).
- Refrigeration mechanic, sheet metal worker, or plumbing license (asset).
