Cascadia Metals is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of warehouse worker to work out of our Winnipeg branch. This role is a permanent full-time position.
The successful applicant(s) will:
- Understand and work within Cascadia's safe work procedures and safety policies
- Be responsible for accurately picking materials using forklifts and cranes
- Bundle and stage materials for customer orders
- Safely unload incoming material using forklifts and cranes
- Safely load material onto trucks and trailers using forklifts and cranes
- Have a proven work history
Position requirements:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift 45 kgs (100 lbs) safely
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Valid drivers license
- Able to work independently or within a team environment
- May be required to work overtime
- Forklift experience would be an asset
- Able to learn and use industrial strapping tools
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices
- Flexibility; able to multi-task and work as part of a team
- Ability to read orders and complete basic paperwork
