The Operational Excellence Co-op position offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in process improvement, operational excellence, and

transformation within a leading healthcare technology organization. You will contribute to initiatives focused on optimizing workflows, enhancing quality, supporting lean methodologies, and driving continuous improvement across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Operational Excellence initiatives through data collection, analysis, and visualization to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Assist in mapping and documenting workflow processes, highlighting inefficiencies and proposing solutions.
• Participate in kaizen events, workshops, and cross-functional team meetings to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Help develop and present reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of improvement projects, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes.
• Perform additional tasks to support the HPS team and broader organizational goals.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in engineering, with preference to industrial engineering students.

• Must be available for a 12-16 month position.

• Keen interest in process improvement and operational excellence.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team

  environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI,

  etc.); familiarity with lean or Six Sigma methodologies is an asset.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The pay range for this position is $20-$32 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on education, skills, and experience. Siemens Healthineers offers interns paid time off.
