Day In the Life
In this role, you will transport concrete safely and on schedule across Ontario while providing professional customer service, maintaining communication with dispatch, and ensuring all equipment, inspections, and documentation meet regulatory standards.
** Please note, this role is a Unionized position **
Responsibilities
- Transport Concrete to destinations throughout Ontario
- Ensure time sensitive deliveries to Plants, crews and customers
- Loading and unloading of product to destination
- Liaise with customers in a professional manner, and provide exceptional on-site service
- Communicate with Dispatch Supervisor daily to receive delivery information
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure cleanliness and condition meet Miller and MTO standards and regulations
- Completion of all relevant documentation
- Maintain Hours of Service compliance and logbooks/E-Logs
Qualifications
- High school education
- Valid DZ/AZ Driver’s license and Clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract
- Previous driving experience
- Ready Mix experience, an asset
- Previous experience with electronic logbooks (E-Log), considered an asset
- Self-motivated and an effective team player
- Willingness to work assigned shifts and weekends as required
- Ability to sit, stand or drive for extended periods
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Punctual and Reliable
- Comfortable working at heights
- Willingness to work extended hours, nights and weekends as required
- Ability and willingness to work out of town for extended periods of time, as required
- Effective communication (written & verbal) and customer service skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work Safely and follow all safety regulations
Compensation Data
Targeting $33 - $35 per hour
