Hybrid - 2 days in office in Hamilton, ON Industry - CPG / Manufacturing Base up to $200k p/a

Our client, a fast-growing multi-channel CPG/manufacturing business, is looking for a Vice President, Finance to take a seat on the executive leadership team and shape the financial infrastructure behind its next stage of growth. This is a rare, full-scope mandate: build the planning and reporting discipline that scales with the business, lead the systems strategy that supports it, and drive the capital decisions that come with international expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a chance to build a finance function from a position of real influence, not inherit one already built.

Compensation Package

Base salary $180,000 - $200,000 base Bonus eligible; target and structure to be confirmed and negotiated directly with the right candidate LTIP offered as the equity-equivalent vehicle (no stock options); specific terms to be confirmed Health, dental, and LTD benefits RRSP match, effective after 1 year of employment Employer discounts Hybrid model: 2 days onsite

Position Description

This is a full-scope finance leadership role covering strategic partnership, financial operations, planning and reporting, systems infrastructure, and capital strategy - not a narrow accounting seat.

Act as strategic finance partner to the CEO and executive leadership team on performance, planning, capital allocation, and growth strategy Lead best-practice financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management Coach and develop a finance team capable of scaling with the business - current team of 6 Build profitability visibility across brands, channels, and markets to support commercial decision-making Establish reporting tools, dashboards, and KPI frameworks that give the business real-time visibility into performance Own ERP and financial systems strategy, including evaluating the platform roadmap that best supports the business long term Support debt refinancing, equity fundraising, banking relationships, lender reporting, and shareholder communications Prepare reporting and analysis for executive leadership, investors, lenders, and the Board Lead the annual budget process and long-range financial planning Oversee accounting operations, financial controls, compliance, audit prep, and tax oversight Support scenario modelling for M&A, licensing, and other growth decisions

Qualifications

CPA designation required 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior finance leadership in high-growth consumer product environments Background in CPG, manufacturing, or a similarly operationally complex industry strongly preferred Proven experience leading a finance function while balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution Track record building or improving ERP systems, reporting infrastructure, and BI-driven decision-making tools Direct experience with debt or equity financing, lender relationships, and investor or shareholder communications A builder rather than a maintainer, comfortable operating without established systems or a defined playbook Roll-up-your-sleeves mindset with the flexibility to adapt as business needs evolve
