What You’ll Do

You’ll support the Sales team by helping plan and deliver sales strategies across domestic and international markets. You’ll build relationships with tour operators and travel partners, coordinate contracts and packages, and represent Niagara Parks at industry events and FAM tours. You’ll track sales performance, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with internal teams on marketing materials, product development, and ongoing projects to help drive market growth.

You Will

  • Develop and execute the Travel Trade Sales Plan across international and domestic markets (RTOs, FIT, tour operators, OTAs, education groups, sightseeing operators).
  • Create annual sales targets and budgets in consultation with Senior Manager of Sales.
  • Develop international market strategies (Asia‑Pacific, Europe, UK/Ireland, South America, emerging markets).
  • Lead annual contracting cycles, including pricing, packaging, commission structures, and incentive agreements.
  • Recommend marketing initiatives and track KPIs (bookings, revenue, partner engagement, market performance).
  • Build and maintain strong international and domestic client relationships through calls, site tours, in‑market visits, and partner engagement.
  • Act as primary liaison for contract negotiation, issue resolution, and program delivery.
  • Manage partnerships with Niagara Falls Tourism, Destination Ontario, and Destination Canada.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, agreements, and partner documentation.
  • Attend and contribute to internal sales meetings.
  • Secure and analyze market research and competitive data to guide sales direction.
  • Develop new product packages tailored to market segments.
  • Represent Niagara Parks at trade shows, missions, networking events, and industry functions globally.
  • Organize and lead sales missions, domestic/international industry events, and partner presentations.
  • Coordinate and host domestic and international FAM tours to grow product awareness.
  • To support alignment on sales performance, market activity, and department priorities.
  • Train Group Sales Representatives on programs, packages, and trade‑specific offerings.
  • Collaborate with Inside Group Sales on telemarketing initiatives.
  • Facilitate team meetings to align goals and market initiatives.
  • Work with Marketing on sales collateral and creative briefs.
  • Review contracts with internal units for required approvals.
  • Support departmental initiatives led by the Senior Manager of Sales.
  • Prepare regular sales reports outlining performance, opportunities, and risks.
  • Monitor sales results and adjust tactics to ensure targets are met.
  • Maintain accurate files, records, contracts, and communications.
  • Complete travel requests, expense reports, and administrative approvals.
  • Make recommendations on issues beyond assigned authority to support informed decision‑making by senior leadership.
  • Ensure all activities follow NPC policies, procedures, approvals, and brand standards.
  • Uphold a positive image of Niagara Parks domestically and internationally.
  • Contribute to special projects and additional duties as assigned.
  • Manages special projects and additional responsibilities when required.
  • Provides input to Senior Manager of Sales for annual review of rates and fees.

What You’ll Bring

  • Completion of a University Degree in Business Administration or a College Diploma in Tourism, Sales, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, knowledge, and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, tourism, travel trade, or related customer‑facing business environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of general office practices, administrative procedures, and office equipment. Strong communication and relationship‑building skills; bilingual ability is considered an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the tourism or hospitality industry, with a strong focus on international markets.
  • Proven experience working within international markets, including developing strategies to grow market share across regions such as Asia-Pacific, Europe, the UK/Ireland, South America, and emerging markets.
  • Demonstrated success in international sales development, including conducting overseas sales missions, attending international trade shows, hosting familiarization tours (FAMs), and managing in-market partnerships.
  • Experience analyzing international travel trends, visitor patterns, and market insights to inform sales strategies and product development.
  • Existing, well‑established relationships with international tourism partners, including global tour operators, international wholesalers, receptive tour operators, travel consortia, and major travel agencies—are considered a strong asset.
