About the role

This position is primarily responsible of insuring proper surface finish as per product criteria and customer requirements.

Shift: Monday to Friday- 6:30am to 3pm

Starting Wage: $22.00/ hour

Typical job duties

  • Follows activity Instructions
  • Removes defects from the surface of parts; using a variety of small hand tools (including but not limited to buzzie’s and grinding pads).
  • Polishes casting’s surfaces as per customer’s requirements.
  • Prepares castings for weld process
  • Removes defects identified in the Liquid Penetrant Process
  • Visual Inspection of parts to help ensure they meet customer requirements.
  • Sets up and maintains small appliances as required to perform specific activities
  • Maintains the necessary stock of materials for the area to maximize productivity
  • Maintains necessary documentation
  • Willing to be cross trained in other roles/departments
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Willing to be cross trained in other areas of production

Ability to work independently and part of a team. Must read, write, and comprehend verbal and written activity instructions. Reads and understands sketches, designs, and plans.

Ability to use measuring instruments.
