About The Role Silent-Aire, a Johnson Controls company, is seeking a dynamic and detail-driven Engineering Change and Compliance Manager to lead our engineering change control and product certification efforts. This role will drive Windchill PLM transformation, lead cross-functional change initiatives, and serve as the Intertek Process Owner—ensuring our products meet all UL/CSA certification requirements and audit readiness standards.

Key Responsibilities Engineering Change Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering changes (ECRs, ECNs, FCNs) across multiple sites.
  • Oversee BOM transformation (eBOM to mBOM), document control, and change implementation.
  • Facilitate cross-functional change reviews and ensure timely execution.
  • Maintain high data integrity and traceability in Windchill PLM.

Digital Transformation & PLM Optimization

  • Champion Windchill PLM adoption and automation.
  • Integrate PLM with ERP and other enterprise systems.
  • Train and support users across engineering and operations.
  • Monitor PLM metrics and drive continuous improvement.

Intertek Compliance & Certification Management

  • Act as the primary liaison with Intertek and other certifying bodies.
  • Lead certification projects and transitions (e.g., UL 1995 to UL 62368-1).
  • Review and approve certification reports for internal and external use.
  • Ensure audit readiness and maintain 100% certification compliance.
  • Manage Intertek action trackers, timelines, and issue resolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Align change implementation with production schedules and inventory plans.
  • Lead post-change reviews and certification debriefs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in change and compliance processes.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 3–5 years in engineering/manufacturing with 2+ years in change control or compliance.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in PTC Windchill PLM.
  • Familiarity with UL/CSA standards (e.g., UL 60335-2-40, UL 62368-1, UL 508A).
  • Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • 7+ years in regulated manufacturing (HVAC, data center, aerospace, etc.).
  • Experience with Intertek MyTestCentral or similar certification platforms.
  • ERP (e.g., SAP) integration experience.
