About the role
DEPARTMENT: AdmittingBARGAINING UNIT: CUPEJOB TYPE: CasualSCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken EnglishNOTE: Applicants must attach a resume to their application.JOB SUMMARY:The incumbent of this position is responsible for registering inpatients / outpatients / emergency patients; assigning beds as well as continuously monitoring, welcoming and directing patients, clients or the public; providing telephone support in the department and finally printing various reports related to the Admitting Department.REQUIREMENTS: High school graduation or general education diploma (GED) plus an additional administrative support program/course of over six months and up to one year or equivalent; Medical terminology training or completion of such training within set timeframe; Good knowledge of computer tools and office automation applications and ability to use;Calm and flexible nature;Good public and interpersonal skills;Ability to work independently and as a team member;Physical ability to perform assigned duties;Good previous work history (performance and attendance);Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.The above requirements may be verified through oral, written or practical tests during the selection process.Should there be no fully qualified applicants, this position will not necessarily be reposted.
