Principal Statistical Analyst Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a vacant permanent position based out of our Head Office in Mississauga, ON.
Role Description: You are main point of accountability for all statistical programming and analysis (SPA) performance and delivery for a clinical product or disease area, ensuring that portfolio deliverables across the product lifecycle meet the required standards for quality, compliance, and timelines.
What you will do:
- You will lead the SPA strategy and execution across/within products in clinical development, ensuring alignment with critical stakeholders and regulatory commitments.
- You will foster an open and timely feedback culture within the SPA product team including identifying opportunities for recognition and continuous growth/skills development.
- You will explore opportunities to drive innovation and continuous improvement leveraging advanced tools, technologies and AI.
- You will be expected to participate in industry forums and working groups to shape best SPA practices in drug development.
- You are responsible to manage the resourcing and workload of a team of internal and external programmers and analysts in a respective product/disease area.
- Ensure all activities/events are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, in accordance with Bayer Safety, Compliance and Sustainability Policies.
Who you are :
- You are a dynamic and driven statistical analyst that has proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams to deliver statistical analysis data and results, including regulatory submissions.
- You have deep knowledge of clinical data analysis including regulatory submission requirements, thorough understanding of industry data standards (CDISC SDTM and ADaM), and analysis quality assurance.
- You possess strategic thinking and insights into industry trends and opportunities, especially AI/ML concepts, generative AI and process automation.
- You have demonstrated sound analytical, organizational, and influencing capabilities to interpret needs of key stakeholders to drive outcomes.
- You can explain complex topics to a broader technical and non-technical audience.

The base salary range for this role is between $108,000 and $162,000. This compensation includes components such as base salary, vacation pay, public holiday pay, potential estimated overtime pay and paid statutory leaves of absence. Additional benefits may include insured benefits such as health care, vision, dental, disability, and contributory retirement savings plans, etc.
This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, market data and the applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience, job-related knowledge, specific degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
This role also provides the opportunity to earn additional performance-based compensation. If performance-based compensation is earned, the total compensation package may provide an opportunity to earn a Total Direct Compensation ( TDC) range of $127,400 to $177,400 . This TDC would include base salary and may also include items like bonuses (short-term and long-term incentives) and sales incentives. The estimated TDC range estimates performance-based compensation earned at 100% of target; however actual amounts may fluctuate below or above the TDC range based on company and/or individual performance.
