About the role
We’re looking for a self-motivated, resourceful, and engaging team member who enjoys teaching and sharing knowledge as much as designing. This is the right role for someone who thrives on developing and delivering training programs, helping others grow their product and specification expertise, and acting as a trusted resource for both Teknion and our dealer network.
Design and deliver product and specification training to dealer partners, internal teams, and key accounts, while also supporting CET adoption and providing expert guidance on product applications.
This individual will be comfortable presenting to groups of varying sizes, developing training materials, and acting as a trusted resource for both product knowledge and specification best practices. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, is highly resourceful, and works independently while staying ahead of workload and deliverables.

- Develop and maintain training materials, guides, and product/application resources to support learning and adoption.
- Act as a knowledge resource for product applications, CET workflows, and specification standards.
Product Application & Standards:
- Provide expertise in product applications for workstations, private offices, power/electrical planning, and ancillary solutions.
- Develop and maintain application and specification standards** for major accounts to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Partner with account managers, dealers, and product managers to create solutions that align with both client goals and Teknion standards.
CET & Specification Support:
- Use CET Designer to create accurate drawings, specifications, BOMs, and quotes.
- Support dealers and internal teams with CET adoption, sharing tips and best practices.
- Conduct Spec Checks and audits to ensure specification accuracy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with Director, product Solutions, Regional VPs, account managers, and dealer teams to identify training needs and plan learning programs.
- Collaborate with PSD colleagues and product managers to keep training content current with product updates and catalog changes.
- Maintain open, proactive communication on project priorities, training schedules, and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years** experience in contract furniture specification or design, preferably with Teknion or similar systems furniture manufacturers.
- Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated presentation and public speaking skills with confidence presenting to groups of various sizes.
- Experience in product or specification training, coaching, or mentoring within a design/specification environment strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in CET Designer (Commercial Interiors) required; AutoCAD and 2020 Spec/CAP experience are assets.
- Strong knowledge of systems furniture, power/electrical planning, and corporate workplace applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
