  • (Internal Title: Associate Director, Operations)

    • Prepare cost estimates and cost plans, incorporating benchmarking data for review.
    • Develop value engineering and life cycle costing options to optimize project efficiency.
    • Identify potential risks and help maintain the project’s Risk Register.
    • Contribute to pre-contract process meetings by offering cost-related insights.
    • Create and manage cost control reports to track financial performance.
    • Attend client meetings with senior colleagues and document key discussion points and actions.
    • Participate in design team meetings, assess cost implications, and implement agreed outcomes.
    • Continually enhance the area of specialty knowledge and skills to keep abreast of industry developments
    • Work with others and clients to define requirements, plan, establish, and assign tasks, objectives, and priorities accordingly
    • Define processes and procedures to be followed by self, own team, and integrated teams
    • Train team members and others in the organization on their roles and the projects
    • Analyze data and information to manage and reduce risk
    • Set delivery and quality objectives for the team in support of client requirements
    • Ensure quality and accuracy control measures are in place and followed
    • Manage a large team, or multiple smaller teams, of professional employees and managers including hiring and termination decisions, participating in onboarding, performance management, learning and development, assigning objectives and metrics, etc.
    • Assess current and anticipate future resource needs to ensure employees are appropriately selected, developed, utilized, appraised, and rewarded
    • Manage the recruitment and selection process with the support of the talent acquisition team including job description development, interviews, selection, and related communications
    • Define and assign tasks to appropriate team members, managers, and leads to achieve project and team objectives, and provide guidance and direction as required
    • Conduct regular check-ins with employees to ensure they have the tools, knowledge, and guidance to succeed in their roles
    • Develop strong relationships with peers and other levels of management within the business line and shared services
    • Create plans to meet company goals and help implement strategies with others (i.e. geographic expansion, organizational change management, performance management, employee engagement and retention, business development, external partnerships, marketing and branding, etc.)
    • Anticipate threats and opportunities and identify and manage business line, project, and client risks by developing and executing mitigation plans and escalating as appropriate
    • Monitor expenses to budget plan
  • Working Conditions

    • Onsite at Client site: this role's work location is onsite with our client and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.

  • Minimum of 10 years of Cost Management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Data Analytics or another cost / construction focused

  • Must be fluent in French

  • Registered for and seeking AACE CCP, CEP, PSP, PRMP, EVP, or PMI equivalent

  • Has completed equivalent training or successfully passed designated proficiency testing in lieu of the above

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience working in hyper-scale data centers is a plus
  • Thorough and complete knowledge of the construction process and management techniques, methods, and materials.
  • Proficient in the use of advanced functions in CostX to produce estimates, bills, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook & PowerPoint) at an appropriate level
  • Thorough knowledge of Contract Administration principles, methods, procedures, and practices, as well as project management methods and practices
  • In-depth understanding of Business Administration concepts with emphasis on scheduling principles combined with a good knowledge of budget and cost control concepts
  • Excellent competency in MRP systems including MAXIMO and EcoSys, WorkDay, is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience with systems including extensive relational database design concepts and spreadsheets to correlate operational and financial data (Sr Level)
  • Tailor technical information for different audiences through presentations, reports, and other means independently
  • Must foster relationships with various stakeholders
  • Tact to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension
  • Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership
  • Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities
  • Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)
  • Excellent reading and language comprehension
  • Ability to detect and capitalize on others' strengths
  • Demonstrated capability to lead Cost Analysts, supervise, delegate, and develop capacity
  • Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven environment

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role. It does not represent a maximum limit — in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
