Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable engineer to join our team building the next generation of AI-powered developer tools for game teams. In this role, you will be a key technical contributor, designing and implementing features that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) along with evaluating 3rd party tools to revolutionize the software development lifecycle. You will be working with Go and modern web technologies to build tools that assist with writing, testing, and understanding code. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver, a hands-on builder, and someone who thrives on staying at the absolute forefront of the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
What You'll Do:
- System & Feature Development: Design, build, and maintain robust, high-performance services and components for our AI developer tools using Go. You will tackle complex technical challenges from the initial concept through to deployment.
- LLM Integration: Implement and optimize the integration of various LLMs to power features like code generation, analysis, and automated documentation.
- Applied Research & Prototyping: Continuously explore the rapidly changing AI landscape. You will be expected to rapidly prototype with new models, techniques (like Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and technologies to assess their potential for our products.
- Technology Evaluation: Research and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools. You will play a crucial role in the technical decision-making process through your research and proofs-of-concept.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand developer needs and translate them into well-designed, functional software.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Champion high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability. Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Performance and Optimization: Focus on optimizing the performance, latency, and cost-effectiveness of our AI-based services to ensure a seamless experience for developers.
What you Bring:

Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. A proven track record with 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience building backend systems or developer tools.

Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) and experience building scalable, high-performance applications.
- Deep knowledge of modern web technologies, including microservices architecture, REST/gRPC APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience integrating with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic) and/or working with open-source models is a plus.
- Familiarity with concepts like prompt engineering, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures is a major plus.
- Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with simple, secure front end UX/UI development
