The role
As a Shipper/Receiver, you will work closely with the Shipping Department Team Lead, the Bindery and Shipping Supervisor, and other production teams to ensure that all the shipping goals are met with a high standard of quality.
This is an onsite role based in our North York (Thistle) location, working Monday to Friday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (Night Shift). As business needs dictate, you will be required to have the flexibility to work alternative hours and shifts.
Key responsibilities

Preparing paperwork for shipments, efficiently and accurately process, allocate and ship all customer orders and transfers

Load and unload carriers
-
Put away and stage materials
-
Package orders and ensure they are complete, accurate, and ready for delivery

Assist in stocking shelves and organizing the warehouse
-
Excellent computer skills for shipping systems.

Ability to work well with others with little or no supervision
-
Communicating any issues, questions or concerns clearly and in a timely manner to supervisors/managers.

Assisting with inventory counts and management
-
Inspect machinery before use to ensure it is working properly
-
Ensure full compliance with all operating, sanitation, and safety standards
Skills & experiences
-
1+ years of experience in a shipping/receiving warehouse environment
-
Must have a Forklift certification, with previous work experience operating a powered vehicle (Forklift, Walkie Rider, Reach Truck, etc.)
-
Proven experience working with computerized shipping systems
-
Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of integrity and reliability
-
Able to work within tight deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
-
Working environment requires standing for extended periods of time and lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Must have flexibility to work occasional overtime work and/or weekends during peak periods
Compensation: $22.00 CAD per hour
