Primary function of this position is to provide quality control support of personal lines new business and re-write transactions. Work collaboratively with in-house underwriting team to support all personal insurance divisions and departments.

* This position can be done from any McFarlan Rowlands office location*

Key Responsibilities:

• Review new business and remarkets that require in-house underwriting approval.

• Follow up with Personal Lines Account Managers where additional information is required.

• Remain current on company procedures and underwriting rules.

• Liaise with internal & external insurer underwriters for binding & concessions.

• Provide administrative support, using company portals.

• Assist in company audits; prepare and review documents to ensure compliance.

• Provide back-up support for other Personal Lines Underwriting team members, when required.

• Assist with communicating underwriting changes internally.

• Adhere to all system procedures and insurance company regulations.

• Other duties or special projects, as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years personal lines insurance experience

• Experience in an underwriting capacity considered an asset

• Must be proficient on multiple insurance company portals

• Strong customer service skills; good written and oral communication skills; organized; attention to detail; team player

• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

• RIBO license an asset

Salary Range:

From $45,000 – $60,000
