Founded in 1970, the Saskatoon Community Foundation (SCF) is a not-for-profit organization and registered charity that stewards over 100 million dollars with the purpose of connecting philanthropic contributions to various community needs and causes in Saskatoon. Through the community-focused SCF team, donors and fundholders enhance the quality of life in Saskatoon with endowed and non-endowed funds, as the foundation makes strategic grants to a wide range of charities in Saskatoon. The SCF magnifies the impact of the individual donor and fundholder, creating a ripple effect of change for the better in Saskatoon.

About the Role:
As Director of Philanthropy , you’ll lead the Foundation’s fundraising strategy with vision and heart. Your role is critical in building lasting relationships with donors, professional advisors, and community leaders to support charitable giving in all its forms—major gifts, endowments, and legacy planning. You’ll guide a team and collaborate across departments to advance SCF’s strategic priorities and long-term impact.

You’re an inspiring leader and relationship builder with a passion for philanthropy and a proven track record in donor development, wealth management, or strategic fundraising. You bring exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and a consultative approach to engaging donors, fundholders, and professional advisors. With a strong understanding of charitable giving frameworks and a donor-centric mindset, you’re ready to lead impactful conversations and build long-term partnerships that advance community well-being. You hold a post-secondary education and have experience in philanthropy, major gifts, planned giving, or wealth management. You’re either already certified as a Fundraising Executive (CFRE) or open to obtaining the designation within your first year.
