At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It's a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID).

About Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada's top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:

Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you're empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.

About The Role As ATB’s next Associate Solutions Specialist you will be the primary engine of support for the Director of Sales, Commercial Card . Your role is to enhance sales productivity by managing the technical and operational aspects of the sales cycle.

You will bridge the gap between initial client interest and final implementation, ensuring that all spend analyses, proposals, and internal stakeholder alignments are executed flawlessly to drive the growth of ATB’s Commercial Card portfolio.

This is a Hybrid role based out of the Calgary office located at Eighth Avenue Place and will require working onsite a minimum of 3 days a week.

Accountabilities

  • Sales Enablement: Provide direct support to the Director of Sales by preparing high-impact sales presentations, pitch decks, and tailored proposals for prospective commercial clients.
  • Spend Analysis: Take ownership of the "Data Mine"—analyzing client accounts payable (AP) files to identify cardable spend and calculate potential rebate earnings for the client.
  • Implementation Support: Act as the liaison between the client and the implementation team, ensuring a smooth handoff once the Sales Director closes the deal.
  • Relationship Coordination: Support the Director of Sales in nurturing internal relationships with Relationship Managers and ABS front line sales helping to identify "warm leads" within the existing ATB book of business.
  • Internal Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the first point of contact for internal inquiries regarding card features, pricing models, etc.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and update CRM data to ensure the Director of Sales has accurate reporting on deal stages, forecasted volumes, and implementation timelines.
  • Product Education: Assist in organizing and delivering training sessions for internal partners to increase awareness of the Commercial Card product suite.
  • Process Efficiency: Identify bottlenecks in the sales or onboarding process and work with the Director of Sales to implement more efficient workflows.
  • Post Sales Client Management: Bi yearly client reviews to ensure card volume expectations are met as well as identify further spend opportunities.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a professional sales support, banking, or analyst role (ideally within Treasury or Payments).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Savvy: Quick to learn new software, including CRM tools (Salesforce), payment platforms, and basic understanding of how businesses use Accounting Software (ERP).
  • Industry Knowledge: A foundational understanding of the Payments industry (Credit Card rails, Interchange, or Accounts Payable workflows) is highly preferred.
  • Analytical Capability: High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; you can take a messy raw data file and turn it into a clear "Case for Change" for a client.
  • Organizational Excellence: Ability to manage a high volume of requests from multiple stakeholders while keeping the Director of Sales priorities on track.
  • Communication: Strong writing skills for drafting professional proposals and clear interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams.
  • Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who anticipates the Director of Sales needs—preparing the "next steps" before they are asked for.

Don’t meet all the requirements on the list? A resume only goes so far in expressing who you are and the unique perspectives you bring. If you believe your skills and experience align with the role—but you might not check all the boxes—we want to hear from you. We encourage candidates from all work backgrounds, equity-seeking communities and experience levels to apply. If you’re seeking a career where your drive, perspective and growth are celebrated, we want to hear from you.

We’re dedicated to building a workforce reflective of those within our communities, and a culture where our team members are equipped with what they need to succeed—their way. Part of creating an inclusive workplace is recognizing our role in advancing Truth and Reconciliation.
